Position Overview:
This role acts as the primary Project Leader for assigned projects. Responsibilities encompass project initiation, procurement, contract management, material acquisition, progress monitoring, invoice approval, project scheduling, and effective communication with the General Contractor, including change order management and cost forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients on projects.
- Develop and uphold schedules for drawings and deliveries, collaborating with suppliers to align internal schedules with project timelines.
- Work closely with the finance team to create and manage a schedule of values for billing purposes.
- Coordinate activities with subcontractors.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring accountability for profit and loss.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for change orders, establishing costs where necessary.
- Prepare, issue, and monitor the status of change orders for materials beyond the original contract.
- Review purchase orders and specifications to ensure alignment with project estimates.
- Mitigate job site issues and schedule disruptions while minimizing potential costs.
- Drive departmental goals through effective management and leadership.
- Facilitate coordination with General Contractors and Owners.
- Mentor Project Coordinators.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create accurate reports and deliver presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of construction principles and practices.

- Experience in project setup, budget planning, procurement, and cost reporting.
- Solid understanding of critical path scheduling.
- Highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with building construction and steel design concepts as depicted in architectural and engineering drawings.
- Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, On-Screen Estimating software, and ACC Build.
