Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at Thermoid. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including complaints from internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with the quality department to evaluate returned products and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Review and approve standard operating procedures, work instructions, and validation plans from other departments.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to monitor and improve quality assurance processes.
  • Establish strong relationships with production associates to perform quality checks and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform inspection testing on finishing specs for identified products and prepare samples for UL testing.
  • Assist in maintaining calibration of gauges in the GageTrak system and controlling the ordering of materials used in the department.
  • Manage customer returns and internal quality on-hold products, and prepare certificates for customers as requested.
  • Support ISO compliance, internal audits, and perform original property testing in the lab.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 years of industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office products.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Decision-making and strategic planning skills.
Physical Demands
  • The ability to use hand tools regularly.
  • The ability to climb equipment and work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly.
  • The ability to stand continuously and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to exert medium force occasionally and work flexible hours.
