About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Associate to join our research team at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at Virginia Tech Carilion. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to investigate the fundamental mechanisms underlying epigenetic regulation in human cancers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced molecular biology, biochemistry, and genomic sequencing experiments to investigate chromatin mechanisms in stem cells and cancers.
  • Develop and standardize cell culture protocols and methods to support our research goals.
  • Train new lab members in appropriate methodology and laboratory technique as needed.
  • Collaborate with external collaborators to advance our research objectives.

Requirements

  • PhD in Biology or Biochemistry related field with equivalent laboratory experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Effective organizational and documentation skills.
  • Extensive expertise in molecular biology and biochemistry.
