Role Overview:
Guidehouse is in search of a seasoned Management Consultant to join our Defense and Security Segment. This role involves leading a team dedicated to strategic planning, change management, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations for extensive programs within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute initiatives to generate documentation concerning system and organizational processes, which may encompass technical requirements, functional specifications, requirements traceability matrices, flow charts, wireframes/mockups, user stories, and use case documentation.
- Facilitate discussions with diverse stakeholders to clarify system and organizational process requirements, culminating in documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Develop training materials and guides for system and organizational processes.
- Ensure readiness of stories and tasks for implementation while identifying dependencies.
- Support both strategic and resource planning, leading the creation of concise and impactful reports that convey critical insights on complex programs and portfolios to senior leadership.
- Conduct data analysis and visualization to highlight trends, key performance indicators, and meaningful insights.
- Organize and lead client meetings, including scheduling, drafting agendas, documenting minutes, and tracking action items.
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust.
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 8 years of experience in project management, operations, or consulting.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
- Experience in analyzing, documenting, and enhancing organizational processes.
- Experience in developing data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik.
- Experience consulting for federal government entities.
- Exceptional communication skills across all business levels, both written and verbal.
- Ability to adapt swiftly and cultivate successful professional relationships.
- Experience leading teams focused on developing and refining organizational processes and procedures.
- Master's Degree in a relevant field.
