About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Development Team Lead to join our cutting-edge multidisciplinary team at The Tomorrow Companies, Inc. As a key member of our Space & Sensors division, you will play a critical role in leading and contributing to the development of next-generation sensor product lines, primarily software-defined radar systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, develop, manufacture, and test advanced sensor product lines, including software-defined radar systems, to support multiple division programs.
  • Lead and manage an electrical engineering team to successfully execute against company priorities, including engineering contractor and consultant management.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to define and implement next-generation hardware implementations of the ARENA Software Defined Radar (SDR) for space, airborne, and ground-based sensing systems.
  • Contribute to the company's engineering culture by implementing best engineering practices and improving existing processes and procedures.
  • Develop and document requirements and specifications of digital hardware and systems, and engage with systems engineers, scientists, and program managers to translate operational capabilities to system requirements.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, with 12+ years of relevant experience, or M.S. degree in electrical engineering or related discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as an effective technical team leader, with skills in managing and maintaining the execution of an interdisciplinary engineering team focused on successful implementation of company priorities.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment with changing priorities, and demonstrated experience mixing serial hardware development with software development that utilizes Agile methodology.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools, Altium circuit design and layout tool packages, and industry-standard simulation tool packages.
  • Experience with large FPGAs, high-speed Multi-Gbps transceivers, and low-speed interfaces, as well as designing for Space/Radiation environments and electrical systems engineering.
