Position SummaryThe Culinary Support Staff will assist in all back-of-house kitchen operations within a premier kitchen environment. The role involves managing high-volume events, requiring significant physical effort.
Schedule: On-Call based on eventsCompensation: $16.00/hr, up to $640 weekly
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cold dishes, including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and sauces.
- Ensure the highest quality of food products served.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of cooking techniques, quality standards, and kitchen protocols.
- Accurately portion food items according to established standards and recipes.
- Keep a clean and sanitary workspace, including all kitchen equipment and surfaces.
- Understand proper food presentation and garnishing techniques.
- Effectively handle, store, and rotate food products.
- Assist in plating as directed by the Chef on Duty.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chef on Duty.
- Possession or ability to obtain a white chef's coat.
- Must have personal knives.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Wear black non-slip footwear.
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Capable of lifting and transporting heavy equipment (up to 50lbs).
- Willingness to engage in physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
