Diesel Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Swickard Auto Group. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel-powered vehicles, including pickup trucks, SUVs, and vans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with diesel engines, fuel systems, emissions systems, and other components.
  • Perform repairs on diesel vehicles, including replacing parts, rebuilding components, and adjusting systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
  • Perform complete overhauls of diesel engines, including disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling the engine.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of prior diesel diagnostic and repair experience required.
  • ASE certifications required.
  • Duramax Diesel experience preferred.
  • A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
  • Possess a valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
