Automotive Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Diesel Technician to join our team at Denali Staffing Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose diesel engine problems using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
- Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles, including adjustments, calibrations, and replacements of parts
- Use independent judgment to make decisions and document all work and hours per manufacturer and company policies
- Conduct road tests to ensure quality of work and resolve any issues
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or technician
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, including automatic and manual transmissions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment:
The work is performed indoors in a shop environment, with tool usage including mechanic's hand and power tools that produce significant vibration and force. Standing and walking will be required for the entire work shift to complete job duties. Pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling will be required frequently to access all parts of vehicles being worked on. Lifting, as well as pushing and pulling weights and forces from 20 to 100 pounds, will be required occasionally.
