Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage incoming payments, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role requires excellent communication skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Management: Generate and send out accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Payment Processing: Record payments by entering them into the accounting system, ensuring proper allocation to the correct accounts.
  • Collections: Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts through phone calls, emails, and other communications to ensure timely payment.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on account status, aging summaries, and collections progress.
  • Customer Communication: Address customer inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies professionally and efficiently.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting regulations.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance is preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
