Job Summary:

Global Partners LP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our deli department, you will be responsible for directing and supervising all activities to achieve merchandising, sales, and customer service goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and supervise department personnel to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Select, onboard, and coach new team members to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Schedule team members to ensure adequate coverage and meet business needs.
  • Engage with customers through effective communication, product information, and sampling.
  • Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to their satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to county, city, and company guidelines.
  • Order products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and serving of deli items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees.
  • Display deli items according to merchandising guidelines.
  • Follow product recipes and maintain quality control.
  • Rotate deli items to ensure quality, safety, and product shrink control.
  • Receive merchandise, audit invoices, and position cases in storage areas.
  • Count product for inventory purposes and complete paperwork accurately.
  • Process cash register transactions, handle customer refunds, and use scale printer machines.
  • Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, and use product shelf tags and signage.
  • Keep sales counters, food prep areas, and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Ensure proper safety equipment and procedures are used by department personnel.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Two years of prior experience in a fresh foods environment, preferably in a management role.
  • Flexibility to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts, and assist other locations as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Serv-Safe certification preferred.
  • Desire to learn new products and recipes.
  • A love of foods and a creative nature.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently, with minimal supervision.
  • Basic business math calculations and ability to use register, scales, scanners, and debit/credit terminals.
  • Ability to read UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage, and register forms.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25lbs, reach above shoulder height, and bend below waist.
