Job Overview

The Ad Sales Measurement & Impact division is in search of a Manager to lead our expanding Ad Impact team. This strategically focused group collaborates with agencies and clients to evaluate the success of advertising campaigns and sponsorships across NBCU's diverse content, platforms, and partnerships. We deliver valuable insights to our clients regarding the performance of their campaigns throughout the purchase funnel.

The Ad Impact Manager will oversee comprehensive campaign measurement processes, supported by dedicated analysts. This role will be pivotal in formulating cross-platform measurement strategies, managing project execution, and presenting findings and insights to both internal teams and clients. The manager will act as the subject matter expert on the capabilities of our attribution platform and services. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, a passion for media and marketing, and a strong enthusiasm for data storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and support a team of dedicated analysts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure all campaign components are accurately measured, project timelines are met, and results are delivered punctually.
  • Establish expertise in attribution methodologies and effectively communicate outcomes to clients and internal teams.
  • Extract data from research tools, dashboards, and vendor data files to derive insights on campaign performance.
  • Provide monthly attribution reports, including A/B test results, insights, and recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Develop engaging advertiser presentations that convey insights and recommendations in visually appealing formats.
  • Maintain a monthly Finance report related to various Attribution studies conducted.
  • Manage a normative database for NBCU-specific benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with senior Research management to assess new research tools and data sources/vendors for their potential benefits to campaign measurement.
  • Work in partnership with NBCU Insights & Measurement teams to fulfill organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited institution, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Media, Math, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of three years in media research within a broadcast or cable network, digital entertainment company, advertising agency, media research provider, or data analytics firm.
  • Experience with both syndicated and custom brand impact and attribution partners, such as Nielsen systems, comScore, KMB, EDO, and others.
  • General knowledge of the digital advertising technology ecosystem, focusing on data management and tagging.
  • Experience conducting campaign effectiveness or attribution studies with major platforms (e.g., Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research initiatives, including survey design, management, and analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly in creating charts/graphs, pivot tables, and formulas; experience with MS macros is a plus.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
  • This position is designated as hybrid, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
