The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the Engineering team, engaging in various stages of engineering projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities include:
- Formulating hypotheses and controlling variables.
- Designing and executing tests while gathering and analyzing data.
- Providing recommendations and overseeing project execution.
- Exhibiting leadership qualities and maintaining a composed demeanor during engineering challenges.
- Independently fabricating parts and solutions as required.
- Mastering all responsibilities associated with the Marine Mechanic role.
- Leading and conducting diesel engine repairs across the fleet.
- Repairing and replacing pilothouse electronics.
- Acting as a liaison between the company and external contractors.
- Utilizing industry-standard engineering tools and techniques proficiently.
- Demonstrating OEM-level craftsmanship in parts and system design.
- Managing projects effectively and reporting on progress and issues.
- Mentoring Marine Mechanics to enhance their skills and ensure timely project resolutions.
- Conducting electrical troubleshooting and repairs competently.
- Understanding the engineering needs of various operational areas.
- Interpreting laboratory test data and summarizing results for management.
- Seeking assistance when necessary and maintaining tools appropriately.
- Ensuring engineering systems adhere to best practices maintenance schedules.
- Possessing Forklift Certification and experience in welding, brazing, soldering, and metal work.
