Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) serves as a caregiver to residents in our assisted living facility, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
  • Obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents
  • Assisting residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment
  • Completing tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for residents
  • Documenting resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
