Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures under the supervision of licensed technologists.
  • Follow radiation protection and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist supervising technologists and physicians in various imaging procedures.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Position patients accurately and select anatomic and technical parameters for optimal imaging results.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in an accredited radiology program and entering the second year.
  • No prior experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of radiology.
Physical Demands
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to communicate with patients and colleagues.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of patients.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use.
