Job Summary

The Business & Technology Department at Baltimore City Community College is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Assistant Professor for Transportation and Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will teach courses such as Introduction and Commercial Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Maritime/Freight Transportation, and others. The Assistant Professor will also develop and revise curriculum, manage course and program assessment of student learning outcomes, and participate in service to the college and the school.

Responsibilities
  • Teach 15 credit hours per semester to a diverse population of learners through various teaching modalities, face-to-face, virtual, and/or online.
  • Maintain scheduled office hours and provide guidance to students for academic planning.
  • Develop and revise curriculum, manage course and program assessment of student learning outcomes, and participate in service to the college and the school.
  • Contribute to student success by advising students from the point of their initial enrollment through graduation.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Transportation and Supply Chain Management or related field with at least 18 graduate credits hours Transportation or Supply Chain Management course work from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Five years or more of experience as a full-time instructor in a college or university, preferably with community college experience.
  • Experience teaching face-to-face, online, hybrid and/or blended learning.
  • Experience with Canvas or another learning management system (LMS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Transportation or Supply Chain Management related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours of Transportation and Supply Chain Management from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Five years administrative experience.
  • Experience with dual enrollment programs and teaching advanced adolescent students.
  • Commitment to working with underrepresented populations.
  • Transportation and Supply Chain Management professional and teaching experience.
