Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner will provide occupational health services and education to clients based on their medical and psychosocial needs. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health policies and regulations, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality occupational health care services to clients in accordance with generally accepted standards of professional practice and Mobile Health policies.
  • Review medical histories of clients upon initial visit and as necessary.
  • Coordinate onsite medical care and interventions as needed.
  • Support the team, including Medical Assistants, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
  • Participate in performance improvement programs to monitor and assess the quality and appropriateness of patient care and clinical performance.
  • Stay knowledgeable about occupational health policies and regulations that affect patient care programs.
  • Complete accurate and timely submission of clinical and professional records in the EMR to ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
  • Contribute to a positive work culture and align with other healthcare initiatives.
  • Utilize established channels of communication and support team building efforts.
  • Participate in quarterly performance improvement committee meetings.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Recognize, accept, and respect individuals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program as a registered nurse with a Master's degree.
  • Established Collaborative Agreement.
  • Experience using EMR/EHR.
  • Licensed and registered as a Registered Nurse and Certified as an Adult, Family Nurse Practitioner by the New York State Education Department.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Good computer literacy skills with the ability to process automated health records accurately.
  • Must obtain a Medical Examiner Certification within 3 months of hire.
