Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Surgical Oncology team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our attending physicians to deliver high-quality treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient needs throughout the disease process.
  • Work in collaboration with attending physicians to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
  • Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and review diagnostic/therapeutic tests and radiologic results.
  • Formulate and manage patient treatment plans, including prescribing treatment and medications as needed.
  • Function as a first or second assistant on operative cases, using fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
  • Active PA Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, ACLS/BLS Certified, when indicated for position profile DEA License, when indicated for pediatric position profile PALS, when indicated for neonatal care NRP Certification.
Work Environment

This position will be based at York Street Campus (New Haven) and Bridgeport Hospital inpatient and OR.
