About the Job

Refresco North America is seeking an experienced Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for safely operating a gas or electric forklift in and between departments, buildings, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate gas or electric forklifts to transport materials, products, and equipment within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accurate receipt and storage of inventory.
  • Conduct regular inspections of received materials to identify any damage or discrepancies.
  • Deliver materials to designated work areas, stacking them neatly and efficiently in storage areas.
  • Utilize palletizer equipment and computer systems to optimize production and loading processes.
  • Perform cycle counts on materials, ingredients, and finished goods to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Participate in communication meetings to stay informed about operational updates and changes.
  • Ensure the workplace remains clean and organized, adhering to Refresco's high standards.
  • Familiarize yourself with First-In-First-Out (FIFO) policies and procedures to guarantee product freshness and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including shipping documents, receipts, transfers, holds, and other relevant paperwork.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; one to three months of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift Certification is mandatory.
  • Ability to understand and operate manufacturing software, inventory software, and database software.
  • Basic mathematical skills and understanding of algebra and geometry are necessary for accurate calculations.
  • You should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
