Job Description

As a Family Services Specialist II with Oklahoma Human Services, you will play a vital role in providing social services to children and adults in communities across the state. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate the needs of individuals and families, assist clients through problem resolution, and make referrals to other service organizations. You will also be responsible for completing eligibility determinations for various social service and assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the needs of individuals and families to obtain information for processing and completing eligibility determinations within established rules and guidelines.
  • Participate in staff conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings to determine successful pathways for client success in reaching their individual goals and achieving self-sufficiency.
  • Establish, engage, and grow positive and effective community partnerships with interested members of the public, service providers, and vendors in a supportive and teamwork-oriented professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of clerical office work in a business, public sector, or social work environment.
  • Valid driver's license and required car insurance.

Working Conditions:

This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and requires extensive travel. You will work Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with the possibility of extended and/or weekend hours.
