Position: Laboratory Chemist

Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)

Location: Remote

Role Overview:

Job Purpose

  • Conducts a range of chemical evaluations and compliance reviews in line with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company regulations.

Main Duties

  • Execute standard testing procedures (such as dissolution, assay/degradant, content uniformity, and identification) of pharmaceutical products within a compliant laboratory environment.
  • Complete all assigned analyses efficiently and systematically, adhering to cGMP, GLP, and company standards.
  • Input data into the laboratory information management system and ensure all documentation is clear and precise in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instruments and equipment according to established protocols; perform basic troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Facilitate open communication within the team to share information, optimize resource utilization, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support colleagues as needed to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain equipment and workspaces to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Replenish chemicals and supplies utilized in testing processes.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient understanding of analytical techniques (including HPLC, GC, Dissolution, Automation, or Spectroscopy – UV/Vis, NIR, IR, or AA/AE).
  • Relevant experience may encompass both academic and industry backgrounds, evaluated based on the quality and relevance of the experience to the position's requirements.
