Job Summary:
All Med Search is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Summer Camp Registered Nurse. As a Summer Camp RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our campers and staff members throughout the summer.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Medical Care: Administer first aid and provide medical care to campers and staff as needed.
- Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all campers and staff.
- Medication Administration: Dispense medications to campers in accordance with prescribed instructions and camp policies.
- Health and Safety Protocols: Collaborate with the camp director and healthcare team to implement health and safety protocols.
- Infirmary Management: Monitor and manage the camp's infirmary, ensuring it is clean and well-equipped.
- Health-Related Concerns: Assess and address any health-related concerns or emergencies promptly and professionally.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with campers, parents/guardians, and staff regarding health matters.
- Health Programs: Assist in organizing and implementing health-related programs and educational initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant state and local health regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- RN License: Current and valid RN license in the state of New York.
- CPR and First Aid: CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a camp or school health setting is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Emergency Response: Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for Working with Children: A passion for working with children and adolescents.
- Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with others.
- Flexibility: Flexibility and adaptability to a camp setting and its unique challenges.
