Job Summary

This role provides a safe and efficient exercise environment for participants in all phases of the Cardiac Rehab program. Key responsibilities include exercise demonstration, exercise prescription, EKG and vital sign monitoring, frequent patient interaction, and occasional physician interaction.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Cardiac Rehab work or a specific Cardiac Rehab internship is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card and ACSM Exercise Specialist certification are required.
Work Environment

This position is primarily conducted in the Cardiac Rehabilitation facility. The work environment is fast-paced, and the employee will frequently interact with patients, family members, coworkers, physicians, and the general public.
