- Measure, mix, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications, maintaining a high level of precision and quality.
- Assist customers by answering simple questions, locating items, or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information.
- Compute charges for medication and equipment dispensed to hospital clients, ensuring accurate billing and financial records.
- Enter medical and demographic data into a computer, assisting in the production and preparation of reports, including billing information.
- Fill bottles with prescribed medications, type and affix labels, and price and file prescriptions that have been filled.
- Mix pharmaceutical preparations according to written prescriptions, verifying accuracy and completeness.
- Supply and monitor robotic machines that dispense medicine into containers, labeling the containers with precision and care.
- Transfer medication from vials to sterile, disposable syringes, using aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience working in a pharmacy
