POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Support Specialist will collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Analyst and the Director of Supply Chain, ensuring the delivery of exceptional Supply Chain services to Buff City Soap locations through effective coordination with suppliers, transportation partners, and carriers. This role will also serve as a vital link between various internal departments to identify solutions and enhance Supply Chain service and efficiency.

To excel as a Logistics Support Specialist, candidates should have a background in customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will leverage their industry experience to provide robust Franchise Support and enhance overall service within our network.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Supply Chain Analyst in implementing service enhancements while maintaining cost efficiency for stores.
  • Respond to store inquiries and requests daily, effectively resolving issues as they arise.
  • Oversee store adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implement improved processes across departments.
  • Proactively identify and evaluate service or cost-saving opportunities through data analysis.
  • Utilize existing systems to enhance current capabilities or investigate alternative solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between Supply Chain Operations and Procurement to address vendor and store challenges.
  • Manage and analyze freight claims as necessary for Less Than Truckload (LTL) and new parcel freight management.
  • Engage in special projects aimed at improving performance and assist with implementations as directed or identified independently.

BASIC & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in procurement, with a focus on supply chain or logistics.
  • Analytical mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in managing customer and supplier relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
  • Experience in a goal-oriented environment is preferred.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce financial and operational reports.
  • Proficient in Excel and data management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & TRAVEL

  • Primarily sedentary work involving sitting and standing.
  • Regularly operates a computer or other office equipment.
  • Travel requirements are minimal (less than 10%).
