Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee staff in the operations of a laboratory or research center
  • Implement policies, procedures, and standards for research operations
  • Ensure laboratory safety practices and procedures are followed
  • Verify quality of research data
  • Recommend new research ideas and protocols; conduct literature searches, and draft grant proposal documents
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Creating planning documents that involve multiple stakeholders across institutions
  • Logistics of ordering material for the lab, organizing meetings and events
  • Monitor materials used including inventory control and vendor management
  • Interacting with external stakeholders and PIs at other universities that are part of CHORUS and A2I2
