About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler Inspector IV to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our fire protection team, you will be responsible for performing inspections, testing, and maintenance/repair of Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, and Deluge Sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and State of Department of Health regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough inspections and testing of sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Identify and document deficiencies found during inspections, and develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of sprinkler system maintenance and repair activities.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes, and apply this knowledge to ensure the safe and effective operation of sprinkler systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with employees, employers, customers, and authorities having jurisdiction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • NICET Level II certification required.
  • Three years of field experience with Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, and Deluge Sprinkler systems required.
  • Functional knowledge of Wet and Dry Sprinkler Systems required.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record required.
  • Ability to stand or climb stairs and ladders for extended periods required.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without assistance required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and good written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment security, drug, and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes a plus.
