Position Overview:
The professional registered nurse is entrusted with the authority, responsibility, and accountability for delivering nursing care through the implementation of the nursing process.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for applying proficient clinical knowledge and skills, utilizing independent nursing judgment for care delivered by themselves and by healthcare professionals to whom care is delegated, all aimed at achieving optimal patient care outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
The Registered Nurse must exhibit the knowledge and skills at an advanced beginner level necessary to provide care that is pertinent to the patients under their supervision, while also applying principles of growth and development throughout the lifespan.
Furthermore, the Registered Nurse must possess the capability to assess and interpret patient data to identify each patient's needs relative to their age-specific requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
This position entails providing professional nursing care for patients in an inpatient hospital environment.
The incumbent holds the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of nursing care through the application of the nursing process.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge and skills at the novice level necessary to deliver care that is relevant to the patients under their supervision, as well as apply principles of growth and development throughout the lifespan.
Additionally, the incumbent must possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data to identify each patient's requirements concerning their age-specific needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:
1. Current unencumbered licensure with the appropriate state board as a registered professional nurse or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
Experience:
1. A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
