Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation
    • Implement program policies and protocols to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
    • Collaborate with health professionals to ensure exceptional service provision.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to participants, including low-risk participants, to ensure a positive experience.
    • Complete certifications for low-risk participants, determining income, identity, and residency eligibility.
  • Nutrition and Health Services
    • Provide basic nutrition education and support, including breastfeeding promotion and support.
    • Assess immunization status of participants and provide immunization services as needed.
    • Collaborate with community partners and providers to build effective working relationships and enhance referral pathways.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Document all interactions with applicants/participants.
    • Accurately obtain, determine, and document proof of residence, proof of identity, and proof of income.
    • Assess eligibility for SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF to determine adjunct eligibility for WIC services and refer potentially eligible participants to such services.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis
    • Print and review Clients Eligible for Benefits reports monthly.
    • Issue benefits as needed and attempt to contact the client to schedule the next appointment.
    • Print, provide, and handle reports and statistical information as requested.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Possession of a high school diploma.
    • Post-secondary education in a health-related field is desirable.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Literacy and language skills appropriate to address the needs of diverse populations.
    • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
    • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
