We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Abacus Dermatology Management. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dermatology clinic.
Responsibilities:- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule all surgical appointments and communicate with patients regarding medication, lab results, and tissue diagnosis.
- Inventory Management: Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Patient Care: Escort patients to exam rooms, document patient history, and assist with disrobing as necessary.
- Procedure Preparation: Set up rooms for procedures, explain procedures to patients, and obtain informed consent.
- Logistics and Maintenance: Transport used instruments, clean and autoclave equipment, and maintain inventory of medical and surgical supplies.
- Communication: Return phone calls to patients, pharmacies, and other staff members, and provide advice or refill prescriptions as directed by the physician.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a medical assistant or in a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
$18-$20 per hour.
