Position Summary:
The primary goal of the Personal Training Manager is to enhance member engagement in our paid Personal Training Services, thereby improving retention rates. This will be achieved by surpassing targets for both new client acquisition and existing client retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and mentoring the front-end sales process of the Crunch One Kickoff.
- Guiding and supporting the delivery of personal training services.
- Managing the client experience throughout their engagement with our paid programs.
The Personal Training Manager is tasked with upholding company standards and leading by example. This role ensures that team members consistently demonstrate punctuality, adhere to dress code, and maintain a friendly and clean environment.
Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Personal Trainer is preferred, along with prior management experience in retail or hospitality leading a team of 3-10 employees.
- Consultative sales experience is a plus.
- Current accredited Personal Training Certification from recognized organizations.
- Current CPR AED certification is required.
- Physical Requirements include the ability to demonstrate fitness activities and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Essential Skills:
- Strong knowledge of personal training techniques and program design.
- Excellent sales, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with Crunch programs and tools.
- Experience in coaching and motivating groups.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Focus on member service excellence.
- Professional response to inquiries from guests, members, and staff.
- Capability to operate all club equipment effectively.
Core Responsibilities:
- Directly selling by conducting at least 50% of all CrunchOne Kickoffs.
- Coaching and guiding personal trainers on effective sales techniques.
- Managing schedules and resources based on key performance indicators.
- Ensuring effective execution of the Client Journey, particularly during the initial 90 days.
- Guaranteeing that all Personal Trainers deliver high-quality programs supported by scientific rationale.
- Overseeing the administration of Personal Training Services, including goal tracking and progress reports.
- Recruiting, training, and managing a team of qualified Personal Trainers.
- Conducting performance review meetings with direct reports to provide direction and motivation.
- Maintaining performance reports and data for business clarity.
- Communicating insights and improvement plans to the General Manager.
