Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Tanker to join our team at Global Technical Talent. As an Assembly Tanker, you will be responsible for assembling and installing tank substations and three-phase pad-mounted transformers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate and move tanks, parts, and covers to the assembly area.
  • Assemble bushings and current transformers to cover or tank as specified.
  • Mount cores and coils in tank and bolt in place.
  • Clamp cover in place and make all electrical connections to bushings.
  • Mount tap changers, switches, current transformers, and vacuum fault interrupters.
  • Locate and assemble all accessories, such as oil level gauges, thermometers, pressure-vacuum gauges, pressure relief devices, etc. to the tank as specified.
  • Check all lead clearances inside the unit and assemble needed spacers and or insulating barriers as required.
  • Perform resistance testing on small pad-mounted transformers.
  • VFI, Load break switches.
  • Build CTs, and PTs.
  • Build fuse racks.
  • Read blueprints and schematics.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility.
  • Active-duty military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Skills
  • Education in AC/DC Fundamentals
  • One year of previous electrical experience
Work Schedule
  • Monday: 3-11 pm. If there is Mandatory OT, it will be on the backend of the shift from 11 pm-1 am. On Friday the team works 1-9 pm. There is no mandatory OT these days. One mandatory Saturday per month.
