Job Summary:

The Assembly Technician is a key role in our Waukesha facility, where we manufacture remanufactured solutions for industrial engines. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest quality products meet OEM standards. We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as an Assembly Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret machined part drawings specifications and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Read and understand service manuals to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Utilize computer systems to access assembly blueprints, 3D assembly instructions, manuals, and engineering memos.
  • Knowledge of internal combustion engine assembly processes and utilize hand/power tools to assemble engines.
  • Pull parts/kit orders to prepare for sub-assembly or engine assembly operations.
  • Verify part conformance to print using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Maintain tooling and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of industrial engine assembly.
  • Ability to lift a minimum weight of 40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills.
  • Autonomous and results-driven with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
