Job Overview:
Geisinger provides Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in outpatient clinic settings with a competitive sign-on bonus for qualified individuals.

Key Responsibilities:


Deliver primary clinical assistance to healthcare providers, patients, and their families to aid in diagnosing and treating various health conditions.

Ensure follow-up on diagnostic tests for completion, accuracy, and proper documentation in medical records to maintain continuity and quality of care.

Uphold a hygienic environment. Meet the qualifications necessary to provide care for patients across specific age groups in designated clinical areas.

Gather and record patient medical histories, chief complaints, vital signs, and establish a foundational medical database for the provider, preparing patients for examinations.

Offer direct clinical support as instructed by the provider.

Assist the provider during minor surgical and diagnostic procedures, as well as ancillary diagnostic examinations, to facilitate accurate assessments.

Collect and prepare laboratory specimens while completing necessary paperwork to expedite laboratory studies with maximum precision and efficiency.

Document ongoing patient communications as directed by the provider, prioritize communications for the provider, and respond to patient inquiries to ensure efficient use of provider time and timely responses to patient needs. Administer medications and vaccines, including intradermal and skin testing, under the provider's guidance and within the scope of practice.

Maintain cleanliness and readiness of examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis, availability of necessary instruments and equipment, and patient preparation.

Work is typically conducted in a clinical setting. Responsible for fulfilling all job-specific obligations and adhering to all organizational policies and procedures. Position Highlights:
This role qualifies for a sign-on bonus distributed over two years, subject to certain conditions.

Clinic Hours:
The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 8:15 PM, and weekends from 7:45 AM to 6:16 PM.

Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend

Travel:
Limited for potential coverage in another clinic

Geisinger Convenient Care is a walk-in clinic that provides prompt, accessible healthcare services. Convenient Care locations cater to family health needs, including physical exams, immunizations, and treatment for common ailments.

Our clinic addresses minor health issues that can be resolved in a single visit, such as cold and flu symptoms, allergies, ear infections, urinary tract infections, tick removal, sprains, strains, and minor lacerations.

Care is available for individuals aged 1 and older. Convenient Care operates seven days a week.
