Position Summary

Glatfelter Insurance Group is on the lookout for a Sales Executive to join our newly formed division, Glatfelter Brokerage Services (GBS). This role is pivotal in driving the sales and utilization of all GBS products and services through independent agents.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage in activities that foster the generation and development of new business opportunities.
  • Focus on sales growth through geographic expansion, premium increases, and overall profitability.
  • Design, implement, and advocate for marketing and communication strategies aimed at business development.
  • Maintain positive relationships between GBS and other divisions of Glatfelter Insurance Group, as well as key distributors.
  • Identify training needs for production sources and provide support to internal colleagues involved in GBS initiatives.
  • Proactively source leads through various channels, including cold calling, while collaborating with brokers and partners to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Foster strong relationships with brokers by offering support, information, and guidance to retain and grow their business.
  • Assist the team in crafting, executing, and maintaining specific business plans for both existing and new products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience is required.
  • Must obtain Property & Casualty licenses for relevant states within three months.
  • Completion of advanced insurance training; CPCU or CIC designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in commercial property and casualty sales, marketing, or underwriting is essential.
  • Exceptional presentation skills are necessary for conducting effective sales presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to communicate and persuade diverse personality types, both internally and externally.
  • Capability to assess and design property casualty insurance program structures and terms.
  • Ability to independently create program applications, underwriting guidelines, and training materials.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and consistently meet objectives.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills to achieve marketing goals.
  • Ability to contribute to the establishment and achievement of organizational objectives through effective sales and time management.
  • Capacity to handle stressful situations with composure.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight and weekend trips.
  • Demonstrated empathy towards the concerns of agents and brokers, coupled with a strong drive for success.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
