Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team at Barnabas Health Medical Group. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality clinical documentation support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany clinicians into patient rooms and transcribe dictations/notes
  • Actively listen to conversations pertaining to patient care and document relevant information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Document clinician and patient encounters into the EMR
  • Seek out missing information from clinicians to complete the physician chart
  • Gather and input pertinent patient information from external sources
  • Place phone calls to healthcare providers and pharmacies as requested by clinicians
  • Keep clinicians informed of resulting diagnostics and troubleshoot delays in those results
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of science or clinical coursework at the undergraduate level or above required
  • Work experience in a direct patient care clinical setting may be considered in lieu of science or clinical coursework
  • Work, volunteer, or shadowing experience in the healthcare field required
  • Experience in a direct patient care environment preferred

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
  • Ability to type 50 words per minute adjusted for errors

Pay Range

The pay rate offered for this position is $17.0775/hour

Our competitive base rates offered will be dependent upon your relevant experience, education and skills.
