Position Summary

The Executive Chef plays a pivotal role in the culinary operations at our venue. This position involves setting high standards for menu offerings, mentoring team members, and representing Compass Group in various capacities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in food and beverage management, demonstrating strong leadership and operational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspire and guide team members to achieve excellence in service.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance food quality and financial performance.

  • Collaborate with purchasing and finance teams to create appealing and profitable menu options.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a skilled culinary team.

  • Engage in promotional activities to boost revenue through social media and community outreach.
  • Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels based on sales forecasts.
  • Design and update menus reflecting current culinary trends and guest preferences.
  • Maintain accurate recipe specifications and adapt them based on ingredient availability.
  • Implement kitchen management protocols, including checklists and cleaning schedules.
  • Create tailored menus for special events in collaboration with sales teams.
  • Set standards for culinary presentations and setups.
  • Deliver training on culinary techniques and menu items to team members.
  • Facilitate team meetings to promote collaboration across departments.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address any issues with team members.
  • Ensure high standards of food ordering, preparation, and service in line with company policies.
  • Conduct caloric analysis of menu items as per regulatory guidelines.
  • Work with operations teams to minimize product loss.
  • Manage culinary department budgets effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years in a culinary leadership role.
  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to the culinary field.
  • Strong understanding of financial management in a culinary context.
  • Passion for food, hospitality, and customer service.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience with social media in a professional setting is advantageous.
