Job Title: Trauma ER Nurse Specialist

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Trauma ER Nurse Specialist. This is a full-time position in our Level 1 Trauma Center, where you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

About the Role:
  • As a Trauma ER Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and leadership within the department.
  • You will work closely with our team to develop and implement evidence-based practices, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff in the trauma bay and throughout the department.
  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Two years of RN experience in a Level 1 Trauma hospital.
  • Strongly prefer 2 years of Level 1 ED experience.
  • BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Clinical Certification required: BLS; Adult Trauma Nurse Specialist will require ACLS upon hire.
