Director of Development

The Oregon State University Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students, faculty, and staff at Oregon State University.

The Director of Development will be responsible for leading major gift fundraising efforts, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategic plans to achieve fundraising goals.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about advancing the mission of the Oregon State University Foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead major gift fundraising efforts, including identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift prospects
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, alumni, and university leaders
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve fundraising goals
  • Collaborate with the senior director of development and other team members to achieve fundraising objectives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to volunteer boards and committees

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of major gift development experience in higher education or related work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, alumni, and university leaders
  • Proven track record of success in major gift fundraising, with a strong understanding of donor psychology and behavior
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
