Job SummaryThe Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This role requires the use of equipment, instruments, and computer systems to evaluate and report patient results with considerable independent judgment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quality control procedures and contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and instrumentation.
- Train new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures and serve as a resource for less experienced staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2 Years Clinical - Clinical Laboratory - Moderate and High Complexity Testing Required - Or Equivalent Education Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree Clinical Laboratory Science Or Medical Technology Required - Or Associate's Degree Medical Laboratory Technology Or Bachelor's Degree Related Field Required - With Required Licensure/Certification - And With Equivalent Experience
- American Society for Clinical Pathology Or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification Required - Or Equivalent Education Requirement
6a-2:30p (2-3 shifts/week)
Weekend and Call RequirementsEvery Third
as needed
