Medical Assistant

Trinity Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant - Workplace Health to join our team. As a Certified Medical Assistant - Workplace Health, you will be responsible for preparing patients for office visits, taking vital signs, and recording medical records. You will also be responsible for obtaining patient chief complaints, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for physician visits.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepares patients for office visits, takes vital signs, and records medical records
- Obtains patient chief complaints, escorts patients to exam rooms, and prepares patients for physician visits
- Reviews patient medical records to ensure that all needed test results, forms, and reports are available to physicians/providers
- Assists physicians/providers with procedures and processes specimens according to established protocols
- Performs in-office testing at the direction of physicians/providers, such as EKGs, vision testing, strep tests, urinalysis, suture removals, injections, immunizations, etc.
- Assists physicians with completion of patient forms as requested by third parties
- Arranges patient hospital admissions and test scheduling
- Maintains clinical areas and drug sample areas according to Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies
- Maintains exam rooms to ensure supplies are present and that rooms and equipment are in working order and in clean condition
- CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA certification through an NCCA accredited program
- 2 years of previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in Occupational Medicine preferred
