As an Environmental Services Technician, your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the healthcare facility, ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will play a crucial role in preventing the spread of infections and other hazards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine cleaning and organization of designated areas within the facility, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.
  • Utilize approved cleaning methods and tools to sanitize various locations, including patient rooms, emergency departments, and surgical areas, adhering to specific protocols for each.
  • Restock necessary supplies in common areas and patient rooms, ensuring availability of items such as soap, paper products, and linens.
  • Learn and implement proper disposal techniques for medical waste, including hazardous materials and sharps.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor in all interactions with patients, visitors, and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in commercial or healthcare cleaning is advantageous.

Compensation

The pay rate for this position is $14.53 per hour.
