Job Summary

As a skilled MRI Technologist II, you will play a vital role in assisting radiologists in detecting anatomical abnormalities at a Level II Trauma Center. Your primary responsibilities will include daily operations of the MRI section, patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, and quality assessment. You will also be responsible for performing studies in other modalities as trained or required. Additionally, you will maintain a high standard of medical ethics and be self-motivated to increase your level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.

Responsibilities

* Utilize innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
* Act professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience and not operational rivalries or roadblocks to care.
* Perform all tasks associated with Magnetic Resonance Imaging technologist II job description.
* Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure performance.
* Administer contrast media or as directed and per protocol.
* Evaluate the imaging study for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately.
* Communicate effectively with patients and their families about the procedure to be performed in order to obtain information and to offer reassurance.
* Establish and maintain lines of communication with all other staff members and Radiologist to insure an effective and harmonious working environment.
* May rotate shifts or be in an 'on call' status as needed or directed by the organization.
* Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

* Required Education and Experience:
**Education:** Associates Degree, Allied Health or Radiologic Technology
**Experience:** Minimum of 3 year experience
* Required Licensure and Certifications:
ARRT (R)(MR)
