The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance
- Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS procedures and protocols
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align EHS objectives with business goals and initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with emerging EHS trends and technologies to ensure our organization remains compliant and competitive
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, engineering, science, or technical field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated EHS leadership experience with a health and safety focus
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively to diverse audiences
- Ability to travel as needed to visit worksites and support team members
