Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Specialist to join our team at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS procedures and protocols
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align EHS objectives with business goals and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging EHS trends and technologies to ensure our organization remains compliant and competitive

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS, engineering, science, or technical field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated EHS leadership experience with a health and safety focus
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively to diverse audiences
  • Ability to travel as needed to visit worksites and support team members
