Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiovascular and Surgical Intensive Care team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As an integral part of our team, you will work collaboratively with attending physicians and residents to ensure continuity of care to our critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate healthcare treatments for critically ill patients
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Provide ongoing and follow-up care to patients and their families
  • Accurately interpret health assessment data and apply findings in directing patient care
  • Utilize critical thinking and the nursing process in the assessment and identification of patient/family needs
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in nursing or a related field
  • Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Certification or equivalent
  • 3 years of nursing experience
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN License
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA license
