Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to provide exceptional patient care through the application of the Nutrition Care Process (NCP). This role involves conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, establishing nutrition diagnoses, and developing evidence-based interventions tailored to individual patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care, including nutrition counseling and education for both inpatient and outpatient populations.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients and the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
  • Maintain effective working relationships and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence in healthcare.
  • Document and manage records in accordance with organizational policies and regulations.
  • Engage in the precepting and education of dietetic interns and other students.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes and organizational metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Current registration as a Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with state regulations.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform various physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs.
  • Occasional sitting, standing, and walking as part of patient care activities.
