Job Overview

E&M Technologies, Inc. is actively seeking a Senior Software Vulnerability Analyst to contribute to critical intelligence efforts. This role involves supporting the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), which serves as the primary source of ground forces intelligence for the Defense Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive testing and analysis to uncover vulnerabilities and potential threat pathways within systems and networks, crafting exploits and engineering attack strategies.
  • Utilize advanced consulting skills, extensive technical knowledge, and a thorough understanding of industry standards.
  • Devise innovative solutions to intricate challenges.
  • Operate with minimal supervision while mentoring and guiding junior team members.
  • Leverage expertise to conduct detailed technical assessments of foreign computer and network technologies, focusing on the analysis and identification of software capabilities and vulnerabilities of specified non-U.S. military subsystems through software code disassembly and reverse engineering.
  • Compose clear Scientific and Technical Intelligence (S&TI) reports that adhere to Intelligence Community (IC) analytic standards, effectively communicating analytical findings to DoD and IC partners.
  • Employ knowledge of the cyber-kill chain and offensive techniques to identify and articulate potential cybersecurity concerns.
  • Deliver technical intelligence assessments of weapon systems and C4 networks, including the analysis of printed circuit boards and hardware components such as microprocessors, digital signal processors (DSP), and field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). This includes firmware extraction and software analysis to evaluate system capabilities and performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Technology, or Mathematics.
  • At least 8 years of experience in software design and development.
  • DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ ce).
  • Experience in source code analysis and vulnerability detection.
  • Familiarity with processor platforms and instruction set architectures, including binary analysis.
  • Experience in computational hardware analytics and instruction set emulation.
  • Proficiency with software disassemblers, debuggers, and reverse engineering tools.
  • Understanding of hardware and software supply chain analysis.
  • Experience conducting in-depth technical evaluations of foreign computer and network technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
  • Experience programming for Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).
  • Background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) design or modeling and analysis of Software Defined Radios (SDRs).
  • Knowledge of military systems and computer network technologies, designs, and programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
