Job Title: Python Test Application Developer for DPU Runtime Software

We are seeking a skilled Python developer to join our team at HCLTech. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test applications on DPU runtime software, facilitating the evaluation of various networking and storage protocols, as well as core DPU accelerators and features.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Test Applications: Create and maintain test applications in Python for execution on DPU runtime software.
  • Automated Testing: Design and implement automated tests in Python to simulate end-user workflows on networking and storage servers.
  • Manual Testing: Execute manual tests using commands for DPU/BIOS and document results.
  • Bug Reporting: File Jira bugs based on issues encountered during testing of the latest drivers and firmware.
  • Quality Assurance: Champion product quality by identifying defects before they reach customers and actively participate in cross-functional debugging and troubleshooting sessions.
  • Regression Suite Maintenance: Support the maintenance of automated regression suites, execute tests, and manage failure triage.
  • Research and Development: Investigate new tools, technologies, and methodologies to identify the most suitable solutions for project requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with DPU runtime software and related networking/storage protocols.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with Jira or similar bug-tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of BIOS commands and manual testing procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in debugging and troubleshooting in a cross-functional environment.
  • Knowledge of the latest drivers and firmware testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with maintaining automated regression suites.
