About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Staff Engineer III to join our team at Verdantas. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing site visits, reading and interpreting technical drawings, and researching customer design parameters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site visits to document existing conditions and understand client needs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and computer-generated reports
  • Research and analyze customer design parameters, specifications, and manuals to evaluate design feasibility and maintenance requirements
  • Perform and document mechanical design tasks for large HVAC, plumbing, and process mechanical projects
  • Utilize 3D modeling software to aid in design development and construction drawing creation
  • Develop engineering drawings, sketches, process flow diagrams, and control diagrams
  • Provide construction administration services, including review of shop drawings, attending meetings, field inspection, system startup, and debugging
  • Analyze mechanical systems and perform functional component criticality assessments
  • Coordinate with a multi-discipline team to incorporate information and client standards into construction documents
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 4-7 years of industry experience
  • Practical knowledge of fans, pumps, piping, valves, HVAC, and controls devices and systems
  • Working knowledge of load calculation and energy modeling software, preferably Trane 3D HVAC
  • Experience with Navisworks, Point Cloud, or 3D Scans
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit is a plus
  • Strong writing, organization, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
