Instructional Designer I

Yardi Systems is seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to create engaging eLearning courses that promote learner retention. As a key member of our Corporate Training Team, you will develop learning objectives, exercises, and assessments that meet Yardi's release standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop basic courses that define learning objectives, develop exercises, and write effective assessments
  • Create content and incorporate feedback from industry experts, clients, and Yardi management
  • Select visual components to incorporate into training courses
  • Utilize in-platform authoring tools and include basic engagement strategies to maximize retention
  • Review externally produced training content and develop basic online courses that adhere to Yardi release standards
  • Provide documentation to Development to request software enhancements
  • Review content produced by other team members and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain project management documentation
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience creating engaging content and scripts for adult learners in technology, leadership, and soft skills
  • 2 years of experience with Yardi's software and service offerings, including Yardi eLearning, or other corporate tools
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks on time within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Teaching, Instructional Design, Communications, Marketing, Technical Writing, Graphic Design, or Multimedia
  • Certification or training in Multimedia, Writing, Graphic Design, or Project Management
  • Understanding of the property management industry, accounting principles, Yardi products and services, or organizational development
  • Experience conducting technical, safety, leadership, or professional skills-training, procedure-writing, formal teaching, or mentorship
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and facilitating meetings
