- At MEI Group, we are seeking a dependable and skilled parts counterperson to manage the procurement, sales, storage, and distribution of automotive components within our dynamic dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precisely identify necessary components for vehicle repairs in the workshop.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source and order parts.
- Receive and assess parts for quality and accuracy.
- Ensure timely delivery to the workshop in line with production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records for purchased and returned components.
- Keep the parts area organized and tidy to enhance production efficiency.
- Prepare estimates for repair orders based on required parts and labor.
- Participate in daily production meetings with the team.
- Manage warranty part returns and process receipts and invoices using the All Data system.
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of experience in automotive parts management (experience with auto body parts is advantageous).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Above-average computer skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Effective negotiation skills to secure the best pricing.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Compensation:
$19.00 Hourly (Based on Experience)
